While we’re doing our own research on the topic here at the candler blog, there is a great article on the differences in IMAX screen sizes over at The Big Screen Cinema Guide. After Aziz Ansari’s consumer rant exploded across the internet earlier this week, it’s been a big topic of conversation. The Big Screen folks put in layman’s terms the differences in screen size. This may not be a technological issue but a marketing one. IMAX technicians have their own terminology for the bigger and smaller screens, maybe we as consumers should have one too. We’ll be getting deeper into this next week.
