Rioters broke in to the Sony DADC Distribution Centre on Monday night and set it ablaze. The studio, which handles physical DVD distribution for indie UK distributors and record companies, says that 25 million discs have been lost in the arson attack.

It may seem a trivial thing to worry about DVDs as England is set ablaze, but this warehouse housed the entire stock for a number of indie distributors. Sony was insured and is putting contingencies into place, but there will be short term shortages for these companies who rely on DVD sales for their business. What did indie film companies ever do to the rioters?
